Cancellation policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
The following right of withdrawal applies if you are a consumer, that is, if you enter into the contract for purposes that are predominantly outside your trade, business or profession (§ 13 of the German Civil Code, BGB).
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (m8werk digital solutions UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Ebersteinstraße 13, 66540 Neunkirchen, Germany, phone: +49 6821 20710600, email: [email protected]) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example, a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory. You can also exercise your right of withdrawal online at https://license.m8werk.de/withdraw. If you use this online function, we will send you, without undue delay and on a durable medium (for example, by email), an acknowledgement of receipt stating the content of your withdrawal and the date and time it was received.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
Early expiry of the right of withdrawal
For a contract for the supply of digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal expires before the end of the withdrawal period (§ 356 (6) no. 2 BGB) if
- we have begun to perform the contract,
- you have expressly consented to our beginning performance before the end of the withdrawal period,
- you have acknowledged that, by giving this consent, you lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun, and
- we have provided you with a confirmation of the contract that records your consent and your acknowledgement (§ 312f BGB).
We begin performance by sending you the licence key by email immediately after payment has been completed and by making it available in your customer account. If you gave your consent and acknowledgement when ordering, your right of withdrawal therefore normally expires when the licence key is delivered. The same applies to the purchase of an extension of the update period.
